About the Host

Andrew, originally from Kilternan on the Dublin/Wicklow border, grew up in a time when Ireland had only two distilleries and a few brands. After culinary school in Dublin, he spent three decades working in the wine industry across five countries, covering roles in production, logistics, sales, brand launches, retail, and hospitality. A craft beer enthusiast, Andrew's recent passion is Irish whiskey, with Redbreast 12yo sparking his interest. He now lives in Napa, California, where he runs Irish Whiskey LAD, educating others on Irish whiskey’s history and renaissance. He holds WSET certifications in both wines and spirits.
